Before meeting you, I never realised how much I would miss you. I would miss you whenever you left for school or out with your friends. I would miss you whenever we couldn’t talk. But it was something I was used to, something I knew. But when you first hugged me and laid your soft lips on mine, I slowly realised how much I would miss you. Because now I don’t only miss talking to you when you’re out. Now I also miss your touch and your sighs. You mumbling into my ear when we hug, and your clumsy kisses on my neck. I miss the sound of you asleep. I miss you glancing at me when I’m doing my hair or putting on clothes. I miss the brief touches of our lips when we’re picking out what we want for lunch. I miss asking you to hand me my shoes and you asking the dog if he wants to join us for a walkie. I miss you and I won’t stop missing you until I see you again.
